it means you have a PageRank (PR) 0 (zero).

I've got some.

One is a page which google ranked as PR 6 with back links which didn't
match and they sorted that out last week now it has a grey pr bar.

One of my sites has a grey pr bar for the main url but individual
pages have green still.

i don't have grey pr,
simply i never understood why some pages have grey on the pr.
I had it in the past for few days and then turns into a pr3.

I just wanted to know if there is any particular reason for the grey pr.

thanks
Sambo

it means you have a PageRank (PR) 0 (zero).
This is greyed out, not simply blank or all-white.

99 out of 100 times it's a toolbar bug.

Other than secure pages (https://) I haven't seen a real grey PR page
this year, so reasonably sure (hence the 99 out of 100 above) Google
no longer uses grey to indicate banned.

When you find a grey PR page, click a link from it then use the back
button. This usually gives the true PR.

On a similar note banned/penalized pages can still have PR. PR2 seems
to be popular for penalized home pages followed by PR0.
