Default Google Submission - 07-28-2006 , 11:53 AM

I submitted my website about six days ago to Google and it isn't listed

yet, how long does it take these days and is there a sure fire way to
speed it up?

I read somewhere that adding Google Adsense would get it on the search
engine much faster, a couple days I thought I read, but it still isn't
up.

That's a frequently asked question. URL submission can be quite
useless:

http://gpsgfaq.googlepages.com/index...miturltogoogle

With Google AdSense/AdWords you can make your site visible anytime on
web pages/search engine results, but if you want to get free visibility
on search engine results, you need to get your site indexed by Google,
and for that you need incoming links.

So, incoming links are more important than URL submission, because
links are a way for automatic algorithms to figure out the importance
of the document and the more you have incoming links and the better the
PageRank is for the pages that link to your site, the more they help
your web site rank higher. Of course relevant keywords in correct
places are also important, etc. Your site can get indexed by Google in
a matter of days, but usually it can take even months for new sites to
get indexed by Google, but remember that usually ranking high in search
engine results for many relevant keywords is more important than
getting a site indexed fast.

The reason I had so many submissions of this topic was because I am new
to groups submission and wanted to add my link as a signature, but had
to figure out how. Is this a good way to get added to search engines?
Do the search engines look a links in groups like this?

I submitted 500-stocks.com six days ago, but I submitted
yourtrafficboost.com yesterday. I don't know how well the second will
do, but I appreciate your comments.

Yes, search engines look for links from various web pages. For example
this forum is archived by different web sites:

[...]

Here are couple of more thorough speculations about various search
engine ranking factors:
