Adsense or the Google Site Search script do not, from what I have
seen. help a page gain more PR or even appear to help on rankings.
They are just optional scripts/elements one can use on their site.

Pages that were PR3 or PR4 adding Adsense or the Site Search or both
remained at PR3 or PR4 until the folks did more to their contents and
got more incoming links from other sites.

Since the code contains a link out to http://www.google.com/ it probably
increases the PR of the Google home page. The PR of the Google Home page
is already very high (PR=10) so the addition of the PR from your page will
be of negligible benefit to Google unless your own page is also in the PR9
or 10 category. The PR of your own page remains unchanged, as it is not
affected by outgoing links.
Best regards, Eric.

That would make sense as Adsense links are JS so won't get spidered.
