On all Google searches today, click the links and new window opens but page will not load. Cut and past the URL for the link, paste it in window and page comes up as normal no problem. Can't think why this is happening? |

Can't think why this is happening? I've had this before when my browser is drowning in spyware, scumware etc, try running Lavasoft's free Ad-aware application, and also clear your cache and possibly turn off the Alexa toolbar if you have it. It usually works for me. |

No still not loading, just a new box that is transparent and shows desktop icons. The preferences in google are set to open in new window. I am sure that everytime I clicked link before this problem, it opened in the same new window. Now I just get more new windows opening. This maybe because the earlier windows are still searching. If I cut the link from google and go to one of these open windows and paste in the link it will look up the page right away. |

I'm not sure what to try next!! but I did find this on Google groups (below) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------- Section: If you get a blank page: 1. Click Start, and then click Run. 2. In the Open box, type: regsvr32 urlmon.dll 3. Click OK, and then click OK again when you receive the following message: DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded. 4. If that doesn't fix it, see this article: http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers.htm#new_window |

Here is a list of pop-up killers (it also lists the ones that aren't intelligent enough to detect a clicked link that opens a new window vs. a pop-up). http://www.popup-killer-review.com/i...popup-stop.htm I also thought I saw somewhere that New Norton firewall may be the culprit.
