Default Google Results and Adwords Theory - 01-04-2004 , 06:39 PM

Hello all,

Here's a theory.

Sites that are top 10 in search results are often not
advertisers with Google Adwords.

Is this a subject that anyone has explored? Is the
Adwords database, somehow linked with the Google Search Results?

Of course, why would they? These sites get visitors for free.

Google says its not, and so far I have found no reason to think otherwise.

Well, I'd say: to build a theory on this observation "often" should be
replaced by "allways" or "in all instances where...".

I often see Adword ads from one of my sites next to the free top 10
results of the same site. In those cases I change the settings for that
campaign.

So, hands in the air and wave goodbye to this "theory" :-)

I have seen web sites that rank high also appear in AdWords.
Of course if you're ranking high you have a better chance
of affording AdWords )
