Default Google Ranking - 06-05-2006 , 05:17 PM

I have a problem. For about the last six months my website would come
up at the top of a google search for a particular item I had on my
website. If it did not come up first it at least came up on the first
page. Now as of March my site is at least 7 pages back or more for
most of my items. Also the number of pages google has index and cashed

of my site has dropped off drastically. My site has not changed in the

time period other than me adding new pieces of equipment to it every
day. Can any one help me? my site address is
www.recycledequipment.com
Thanks,
Chad

Hi Chad
Simple.
Read the group for the last few weeks.
No point in repeating everything.

Lots of folk are in the same boat, Google is all busted up and we have
no way of knowing when things will be fixed. One survives these times.

The thing is, they seem to have all the time in the world, months, years
even. I can imagine many e-businesses rely on searcheningines as their main
source of customers and with Google in it's current power position this is
not appreciated.

I have to agree, MSN is the place to be at this moment. Hell, I even start
to appreciate Yahoo again, a site I avoided for years!!! Let's be honest,
there are numerous smaller engines out their who serve better results then
Google.

Google is out, the hype is over. The massive amount of irrelevant spam
results, all the rules that everyone has to follow but nobody really knows
about, the time they take to get things in order, it makes Google what I
consider it to be today... a dinosaur!

With all the stuff they do on the side I strongly feel search is no longer a
priority for them, just a businesscard. Plenty seems not enough and greed
has taken over, witness the beginning of the end.

I hope that those looking to replace Google will be able to focus on what
they are doing, not forgetting or betraying the little people like you and
me, the same people who they depend on to make or break their business.

Steve

Not at all. There are so many DC's out there and millions of sites.
Okay, there is a problem, but it is not one that can be solved in 2
minutes. This is a huge operation they are taking on. Be patient.

That will teach them for putting all their eggs in one basket. In all
honesty, you shouldn't be relying on a 3rd party to make you money.
Tough I know, and even one of my sites has suffered, but life is a
bitch. And it gets worse as you get older.

If only they would get it done right from the first time.

Fact is, Googles basket is a big one, wether or not you put all your eggs in
it, you would notice the results when doing e-business.
