Default google question - 08-05-2003 , 08:58 PM

Hi....I had a site on google. I noticed it was only showing up in page 4-6
of the listing. So I went into the submitting process and re-submitted it
with what I felt was a better description. K, 2 days later, its no longer
listed? what's going on?

Sam,

In addition to the other comments on this thread, I'd suggest going to
bcentral.com and using the SubmitIt! service for your home page. It will
get you listed and ranked on many top search engines.

Google's in a bit of flux at the moment, so sites are moving around a
bit.

Resubmitting will just bring your site to Google's attention, as will
getting other sites to link to it. It won't do anything to improve
your ranking once Google knows you exist.

To improve your ranking you could do a lot worse than following the
recipe at: http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/2010.htm
