Default Google is playing - i'm giving up - 06-03-2006 , 08:15 AM

A couple of weeks ago i made a post here about successfull site
reinclusion - askdachav.co.uk.
I thought the reason of this was my doings with site design - but now i
can see that big guy i seriously sick.
Or maybe naughty...
My joy was so short.
After 2 weeks of stay inside index site was thrown away again...
Moreover - another site followed askdachav as well -exactsearcher.com

Think its time for me to give up

I haven't taken a look at the sites, but if I recall correctly, the service
of the site in question was search that relied on other services or
affiliated links/directory. Google recently said that they dislike this.
Some called it the "Big Daddy" update, named after the screwed up
datacenter. Check to see if your site is completely banned or simply losing
pages. Some recent threads would indicate that Google is either flaky,
confused, or undergoing a major overhaul, which seems to make it worse than
before.

Best wishes,

Roy

Hey Roy, you made the "thunder answer" - really very fast, thanks.
Yes, i just opened both sites in Firefox and noticed that they still have
PR4.

Don't give up!

As in any quest of significance, capitulation is should never be the
answer.

Victory in SEO is not only the attainment of a dominant presence in
challenging keyphrase competitions; it is also the reflection of effort
and resilience, a mirror of the competitor's drive for success and a
canvas to showcase exceptional skill.

Stand your ground with the other serious challengers. SEO has not so
much to do about being bigger, sneakier or stronger; it is more about
being disciplined, alert, patient, smart, thorough and precise.

Oh ya man, thanks for pointing that out. Often being stoned is the big
difference. So spark up a huge bat folks, sit back and play with the
power.

You know what I am going to do now eh?

Wrong! Going fishing first, then will I even remotely consider BING

OOps, I did it again ( who said that before hmmm ) Oh ya, that's one of
your homebread talents. I wonder if she's puffed a couple of gigglers
in her day?

Top 'a da' day to ya' BB

Google is having some serious problems with their latest couple of
updates.

1) The site: operator has been broken several times.
2) Sites are losing their pages and getting them back 24 hours later
due to testing. Google stated that the problem did not exist, but in
April and May said that it was fixed.
3) Graywolf reported that Google was showing content from the wrong
domain name on a shared server. Matt Cutts said this was due to a
misconfigured, old webserver and that they are working on repairing
this bug.
4) Then there is the rumor of Google's machines being full that Google
denies.

My advice is to let it ride and DO NOT fret about or make any major
changes to your web site until this is all sorted out.

Google has been made aware of the recent problems and are working on
them.

That is some very useful and encouraging set of speculations/observations.
Thanks for that. I never knew about (3), but it appears to explain the 404
errors in some results pages. As for (4), Google adamantly deny it. I
believe it all started in The Reg and then grew wings.

Best wishes and thanks for the heads-up,

Roy
