Google only shows 73 links back to me??

Google is driving me nuts. when I enter link:http://www..... to see how many
links they show coming back to me they return 73. And most are my own pages
that link back to my main index.
Alta vista shows almost 600
All the Web returns 775
MSN shows 212
Yahoo of course shows the same as google.
Google used to show about 300 if I recall.

What is going on, why are they all so different and why is Google so
ridiculously low??

Googke only shows backlinks of PR4 and higher. Of late that command
has been reliable. Thus, ignore this with Google.

Thanks Roger. Does that mean that Google gives no weight to a site with a PR of
only 3 that links to me? By this I mean, does Google "count" a site that links
to me if it only has a PR3?

Yes, Google counts these. They just don't show them in the backlinks.
Best guess why Google doesn't show backlinks below PR4 is to prevent
others from reverse engineering how they calculate PageRank.
