Default Google Linkbacks - 06-04-2006 , 11:51 PM

I have a blog at KMM which is www.brainbasedbusiness.com and would like
to know how to create Google linkbacks. Yahoo lists many linkbacks to
my site and I am unsure who Google shows none. Can somebody help me
out. I use this in the comments...

<a href="http://www.brainbasedbusiness.com">Brain Based
Business</a>

.... and it should create a linkback that Google recognizes... or am I
doing it incorrectly. Many thanks for any suggestions you may have to
correct this.

Yahoo lists more backlinks than Google does, but they are equally visible to
both. You are shown just a subsample.

I am assuming that in the comments that you mention, the rel="nofollow" is
not employed.

Hope it helps,

Roy

The link operator in Google doesn't work. On a good day it'll show a
random sample. It's been that way for ages. You can't really trust
information you get from Google anyway.

I'm beginning to think that we need a new FAQ on here we can direct
people to so we don't have to answer the same questions over and over.
One that isn't festooned with adverts, I mean.

I disagree on that BB
To say it is random means it will give a different set of results each
time.

I think a better way to phrase it would be the google returns a subset
of results that pass their algo.

I may do a page on it actually. I'm beginning to see each and every
SEO wrinkle as potentially good base material for creating additional
pages for my site. Can't hurt!

Good idea Bill, but you may want to block all Indian ISP's otherwise
10 million Indian SEO experts will have copied it within 24 hours
