Default google likes subdomains? - 07-03-2006 , 01:35 PM

From a recent discussion about "5 billion pages in google", it is
becoming apparent that google likes subdomains.

My conclusion from it is that if I have a site example.com with a
million entries, google would index it faster if it was split into
subdomains like foo.example.com, bar.example.com etc.

Would you agree with that hypothetical conclusion?

Yes but don't expect it to last. It's been over-exploited.

Not exactly. Every new domain is just a new domain. IIRC (never checked
that by myself) every subdomain goes through sandobox.

Bad idea, unless you have a valid reason for splitting it into subdomains.
If you split existing content into subdomains, Google will probably drop
your site in the rankings for a while. MSN might like it though, at least
for a little while.
