Default google laughing its head off - 06-27-2003 , 01:20 PM

Just wondering, for the last few hours on and off I have being doing a kind
of catch up on th NG and the amount of comments on google and the things
that they may or may not do, leads me to think that there a couple of peps
in there that must be laughing their collective googleheads off. Bit like
the KFC Chicken, what did make it so finger lickn good was it the secret
recipe or the fact that you go in there with a few beers on you and sawdust
tastes as good >:¬}

I'm beginning to come to this conclusion.

I ran three searches for 'caribbean holidays' at various times today. In
the first one, the site I was checking was at #17, then at #3 then at #8.
Just checked - now it's back down to #14.

Same thing is happening on other popular searches too: 'Weighing scales'
for example. I think it's a deeply cunning plan to render automated
position-checkers pointless.

You're probably thinking of sodium chloride.

I'm talkin' monosodium glutamate. The stuff nobody wants in their
Chinese food.

I was thinking of sodium chloride (salt) as the main ingredient in KFC.
Which it is. MSG is way down the list. One bite tells the story.

It also renders our industry pointless. This is not to be laughed at,
you know.

There is only one war, and it's not the rich against the poor,
the blacks against the whites, the Federation against the Borg,
or the Democrats versus the Republicans. It's those of us who
aren't complete idiots against those of us who are.

Bill,

remember in the mists of time in the late 90's when I first started doing
SEO's it was a time when you did not get the results you were looking for I
used to email into ALta' and Yahoo and they would have an actual real human
go look at the site and actually adjust it (well that is what I was told by
them anyway). I used to love MetaCrawler then I could show my clients how
well or not they were doing and then just refresh the search and the results
would change again.

Ohhh the bygone days of a simpler life *sic* Used to have clients ask to be
on the first page of a result and they did not car what term was used, they
thought that they would make their fortune, and I gave this service away
free?????--not anymore though >:¬}
