Default Google Help! - 11-13-2004 , 08:47 AM

Hi Guys

We have a couple of websites and are aiming to get top ranking on google,
any google
addicts out there able to help? Willing to pay well.

We've tried a couple of search engine companies, but haven't received the
results we are
looking for, we are only looking for good results within google based on a
couple of
keywords.

Any takers, please email me at laura (AT) cgarsltd (DOT) co.uk

Take care

Laura

A freebie word to the wise. Go read the stuff on link popularity on my
site. Saves me trundling it out all over again.

If you want success in Google, you have to think niche. I'm in the top
five for "optimisation resources" which came as a total surprise I
have to say. But at least I'm there for something, which serves to
give me a higher profile all round.
You need to think of suitable niche keywords to optimise your site or
a piece of your site for. This very likely means a measure of keyword
research and a good long wait to see results at the end of it. So be
warned.

Did you mean: optimization resources
( 1 - 10 of about 939,000 )

If you where in the top 5 for optimization resources ( ~ 6,150,000 ) I
would be very impressed :-D

No. I meant optimisation resources. Which is about the same number of
serps. Interestingly I discover, looking to see if I am in the
American version, I am indeed at about number zillion along with Dave,
who uses this newsgroups as his own personal a blog resource. This
seems a bit desperate, Dave.

I'd be impressed if you could spell. Typical programmer! Do you mean
"optimization resources"? We're all in that from Searchguild.

Yes, I know in the UK they use optimisation, but I check with the
American version of Google, so I get that result. Also, English is not
my native language (on the other hand, I am not good at my native
language either ;-) ). Moreover, if I remember correctly there was a
time in the UK that z was used, but somehow it was replaced with s.

And finally, "Typical programmer" is an oxymoron :-)

Oh, as a programmer I prefer programming but somehow I am quite ok at
SEO.

#4 here ( Results 1 - 10 of about 926,000 )

So, how impressive is that top 5 out of nearly one million? I can do it,
you can do it. Hurray.

No, but I lived in the UK for 4 years does that count a little?
