Default Google Has Balls - Really - 08-11-2004 , 11:16 PM

Why are there little colored balls in the results of this search?

http://www.google.com/search?q=free+...&start=10&sa=N

But not for this search:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...te&btnG=Search

The difference is the singular and plural version of quotes.

It look like google is endorsing some sites in the serps.

Tim

I don't see the balls in either search.

Good, I was waiting to see someone else say they didn't see anything. :-) I
thought I was missing something.
I even did the searches myself and still didn't get them.

Next time, you better publish a screen shot of the Google results.
Google always tries out stuff but then it's never to be seen again...

Either that, or it could be one of those evil software things that get
installed in IE without you knowing...
