Google doesn't filter anything. If you want to believe that be my guest.
Guestbook links mostly count as text links (Contain the term links) and
they are not filtered as nothing is filtered or banned at google like
rbx or whatever his dumb name is tells you all here. He is feeding this
ng misinformation for some reason. There's no such thing as the google
death ray or whatever he calls it. All rubbish! He's a total troll as is
seo and if you listen to the two of them you desrve pr0's for all your
websites!

Google is soley based on being creative with your url address creating
links both hyper active (link to or back links whatever term you prefer)
and Contain the term links (text links non-hyper not active just written
out at other sites). The 3rd type of link that google counts as a hyper
and text link is internal pages of your site. Create 1000 pages at your
site with a few words changed and google will credit you with a link for
each page provided they are pr4 in rank. It's the old story of money
going to money and it sucks but google's thing is popularity. Most
popular things pretty much always suck anyway.

That makes no sense to me sober. Next time I am on powerful mind
altering drugs I'll read that and see if it appears more logical.

Why in heaven's name is this guy so continually angry?

Say less and listen more, Sam, both here and at Webmaster World, and give
the rest of us some peace from your pretty daft and uninformed views.

Gordon

Your style of writing really is doing you so much damage its unbelievable.
It makes you sound so irrational and childish. Do yourself a favour and tone
it down a little.

FWIW I've seen lots of sites that have been penalised. The webmasters end up
with their tail between their legs

I haven't seen it yet, but can say I've noticed a significant drop in
guestbooks as backlinks of lots of sites I've looked at recently.

I think he's doing it on purpose, if you add everything up since he
started posting here it suggests he's a troll. Good at it as well
since he started quite subtle and got us posting to his messages (I'm
guilty of this as well) which is what a troll wants.

He should get increasingly irrational over time making absurd posts
and childish threats (already there).

Only way to deal with a troll is to starve it of attention with maybe
the odd TROLL post to let newbies know he's talking out the wrong end.
So when we've all had our fun we should ignore him and he'll
eventually go away.

Search the Google News forum. Many who watch Google closely saw lots
of guestbook links vanish. Some still slip through, but Google does
catch most.
