Default Google equates different sites - 05-08-2006 , 11:28 AM

The sites www.coreocean.org and www.nosb.org are on the same server.
Running a Google search on

link:http://www.coreocean.org

returns exactly the same results as

link:http://www.nosb.org

For the most part the pages returned (other than the ones that are on
the CORE or NOSB sites themselves) have a link to one or the other, but
not both. Why would Google count a page having a link to one as also
having a link to the other?

I forgot to add: www.coml.us is also on that server, but whereas the
other two sites return 661 results, this one only returns 7.

It's broken. You can't expect sensible results. I don't know why
Google maintain the tool at all. Unless it's purely to vex folk.
