Hello, My website: www.keysweeklyrental.com was showing on google.com. Now it is not and I am getting no traffic? I have not changed anything. What caused this and how can I fix it? |

If you did have some questionable SEO stuff on there and have since removed it, see SEO-Dave's post on how to grovel at Google's feet. |

Some weird stuff happening, I'm seeing some clean sites losing PR like this one http://the-tech.mit.edu/Shakespeare/works.html which used to be at least PR7, but now has no backlinks, still got it's cache so far. It was number 1 for William Shakespeare since Feb this year, this month it's lost it's PR and dropped a few places. If it drops out the top 100 it suggests a automated penalty rather than manual (why would Google penalise this page/site, it's ideal for the search?). David -- |

Hey DNA, Nice to hear form you again! You have no in-bound links showing in Google or AllTheWeb. That will kill off any PR and bounce you out of the top couple hundred or so. Google also has no current "cache" of your site. While this normally could mean that you were banned (have you been doing some "questionable" SEO stuff?) we have had two sites out of over 100 that have experienced similar experiences....and they were 100% cool SEO. I think something has triggered a "filter" at Google for some sites and we should see this corrected within a few weeks if there was nothing really wrong to begin with. If you did have some questionable SEO stuff on there and have since removed it, see SEO-Dave's post on how to grovel at Google's feet. |

Thanks for the reply. I dont think I did anything "questionable"? Do you see anything? How can I find out if I was banned? I am also using Google-Adwords so I would think that if I was doing something "banned" that I would be banned from the Adwords too? Why would I go from ranking to zero if I did not change anything? What should I do? What is the best way of getting links? |

I have no idea why this is so, but perhaps wiser minds can say. |

Still #1 for "massachusetts community orchestra" on Google, MSN (well an old pseudo that points to us), Alexa, Yahoo. |

Have you made any enemies, I heard that if someone keeps submitting a link to google one after the other consecutively that, that will get you banned and you will be considered a spammer. Is that all we have to do to get a first page position? I hope not, because someone could really mess things up for those of us trying to get there the fair way. Thanks! I cleaned up the meta tags and added a page that has outside links? What else can I do?
