Default Google dance - 10-17-2005 , 08:13 PM

There is some kind of Google dance going on. I have a KW/page
that is reported as 6th, 149th and 289th on different datacenters -
and every 10 minutes results are different - SERPS are more or
less constant, but their assignement to datacenters changes.

Page was not modified in the last few months, also it is one of
pages without IBLs - or at least without IBLs that I created
consciously.

Best,
Borek

Hi Borek
Glad to see I am not the only one suffering. I had over 50 k/w that
were #1. Now I have about 5 that are #1 and the rest have dropped - in
some cases - 500 places or more. Most have sropped about 150 places.

I just hope it all bounces back.

I'm with ya' Paul!

Google Giveth & Google Taketh Away!

I'd previously reported a major recovery for September 22 and now it's gone.
I'm still in the top 5 for SOME of those important SE key phrases which are
important for me during this part of the season. But no where like it was
beforehand. Oye!

I've been reading elsewhere that things are changing. I'm moving up
but only by a few places.

Borek, SERP's that I regularly keep track of are not quite so
recognisable. I see quite a few new entries and the order of
URL's changes although not as wildly as Paul describes. I guess
it needs a little bit of time to reach an equilibrium, that is,
we need to wait until the algorithm completes a pass through the
entire data rather than observe the effect of mere 'patches'.

Hi Ya stranger, good to see ya again.
I could understand if black-hat tricks were involved, but it is a tad
worrying that so many of my #1 have dropped so far.

Some k/ws have climbed a little, but most have dropped - and badly.

Take care
Paul

yeah i noticed this yesterday AM, googlerankings.com displays different
results for my domain and i did a 1-100 search and my sites dropped
from #5 to #120

if anyone learns how to beat this change let me know (or is it the
usual case of waiting for a few weeks for thinsg to settle before the
analysis can begin)

HELP!

Sorry Borek
I read it as your k/w was #6 but was also showing as 149 and 289.
My mistake.

No problem.

In my case it is more difficult to analyze that (or this), as my site
will be 9 months old in a week or two, so part of this dance can be
due to leaving sandbox.
