You really should try two monitors setup!

Like: full screen browser on one, and html source on the second -
both visible at the same time.

Would be nice. But then I would have to clean my desk, which I just
did a couple of weeks ago and now it is junked up again! LOL!

But once the monitors are on the desk you may start clutter building
again. I can't see my desk surface. Luckilly I have a drawer for
keyboard and a mouse
Never liked that :-D.

I had my desk custom made [1] but my partner is using it as well, and I
have a scanner now, etc. so it's quite crowded. I promised her her own
desk, because I do like a very empty desk with a lot of space.

This post is going to be risky... scroll down only if you really want to.

There is a saying about clean desk, but I think it will be rude to quote
it

Do not use images for the headlines and links. Use plain text and be sure
to wrap headlines in <h1>..</h1> (or h2 ... h6). If you insist on images
(though I can't imagine good reasons), set the ALT attribute to a
meaningful text.

What do you think about this kind of thing for headings?

Interesting.. Does not seem to suffer from the 'nothing visible at all with
images turned off' problem like most other image replacement techniques -
at least in my Konqueror.

You don't know it? A clean desk is a sign of a sick mind. 977 hits in
Google for a "" version.

Never heard that one :-D (But it's not my native language). I can imagine
that a very clean desk can happen when one suffers from OCD though).
