Can't you use a spam filter to block that email adress? |

This is bit off topic but... I run a golf website www.theinternetgolfclub.com whose main email address is info (AT) theinternetgolfclub (DOT) com There is a replica watches company that is sending out emails 'Golfers Gifts' with a link back to their website. The emails are sent out 'from' my info email address. I have contacted the company to ask them to stop but they're still doing it. Any way legally without costing a packet? Regards Vance |

There is a replica watches company that is sending out emails 'Golfers Gifts' with a link back to their website. The emails are sent out 'from' my info email address. It's happening to thousands or email accounts and I think the only way forward is to make ISPs responsible for spam mail. |

Hi Jokla They send emails that show the from address as mine. It may be a hack although I don't think so. With an asp or php script you can set the mail 'sent from' details to be anything e.g. mail at msn.com etc etc It's happening to thousands or email accounts and I think the only way forward is to make ISPs responsible for spam mail. If ISPs where made financially liable for any spam mail sent then the industry would be doing itself a big favour - IMHO!! If anyone want a peek at the email header info then email me at vgr at vhsholdings dot com Regards Vance |

Well, they're scaning the interent for e-mail addresses and use them for the sent from details, so the email address on the interent need to be encrypted |

Not only, spammers are using fake addresses from known domains. It hurts especially when you have catch-all type mailbox. Borek |
