Default dynamic web pages. - 02-11-2008 , 09:20 AM

I'm currently looking at a whole new re-vamp of our site(s) to tidy
things up. This would naturally result in a SQL driven database site
for all the products we currently have.

How are dynamic pages recognised in terms of "newness" ? Would there
need to be subtle or significant changes to the body of the page for a
S.E. to re-class the age of the page?
If so, would it be feasible to have a section on each page that could
globally changed with perhaps a paragraph of "latest news" within the
<body></body> tags or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Just trying to work out the best techniques before commissioning a full
blown remodel.

Cheers
Pete

One of the things you can do is dynamically create your site map. Once
submitted, Google will go back again and again, and will see changes to
the site map.

Also important, of course, is generating well formed markup - don't
think that just because the data is coming out of a database, and a
script is spitting out the (X)HTML, that you cannot have well formed
symantic markup.
