Default Dynamic vs static - 04-07-2006 , 07:15 AM

Hi

Writing a website in asp I want to use a database and create dynamic
content on the pages. eg. one page that will change depending on
which section a user is visiting. All content will be pulled from the
database as and when needed not one page for every section/selection.

Does anyone know how this would affect site stats etc with google as I
wouldn't have multiple pages sat on the server with all content freely
readable by googlebots.

Any help much appreciated.

How are you going to check which section user visits? Through URL? Bots
will see the same. Through cookies/session ID? Part of the users (plus
bots) will find your site unnavigable.

I have one page and this page can have different contents depending on
where the user came from. The page will be sent by url or form so
links are there for bots but wondering if they will be able to read the
content of a page if its not there in black and white on a static page
, its pulled from a database when the user gets there.
