Default Dynamic Content & Includes - 04-09-2006 , 11:20 AM

Hello,

Q: If a web page is made up of dynamic content and includes, does a
search engine spider like google see all of the included content when
they follow a link to that page.

I.E.: if I have a common navigation file that I include in each page on
my site, does google see it as if it's native to the page it's on, like
that browser does?
I've tested this using that Lynx browser and the content is included,
as I have heard tat using the Lynx browser is a good way to simulate
the way a search engine see's your site.

Thanks,

Yes. No bot nor browser knows what is happening on the server side, they
see code as it is served.

Yes. There is no magic in bot action. It can't see more than it is visible.

More or less good idea. Perhaps slightly conservative as bot can see a
little bit more, but using Lynx you are on the safe side.

Yup. It's a page to them whether it's static or dynamic.

They both use user agents, so they both get the same deal.

Google is not able to see if a page is dynamic or static, unless you give
hints that a page is dynamic.

Yes and yes.
