Hi, I defined h1 and h2 style in .css file. Does it make difference to define the font-size as 16px, 20px, 24px? Different color? |

I realize this doesnt answer your question but I want to make a quick point about font size. Google uses a -1 on this page: http://www.google.com/jobs/britney.html I believe they did that to keep themselves out of their own search results which tells the story on extremely small font. Dont use it. Tim |

Different color? try thinking about it for a moment...how does Google read your site?...and have you EVER heard of a bot that has eyes? so colour and text size make no difference to the search engines...however, please don't use px to set text sizes unless you need a small piece of text to align precisely with an image...for those of us with sight problems it can make the site unusable |

Color and size might matter. How else does a search engine know if you're using hidden text or tiny test as dubious methods to improve your ranking? Your background is white and somewhere in the page, the text is white. An intelligent algorithym will know that you're trying to hide the text from humans. Doesn't Google punish you for doing this? |

The spambot that I wrote has "eyes" that allow it to see color and text size, so I see no innate reason why search engines cannot do the same. Indeed, it is widely believed that they do "see" text marked with <h1> so they certainly could "see" other attributes such as color and text size. I am not saying that they do or don't, just that they can. |
