http://picsdata.com

First, I need to say that it's in very early stage...so please ignore
the few design bugs...
Second...I am not a spammer, since at the moment I dont intent to make
any money with this...

So, the idea for such a site is at first sight very old, but take a
closer look...you will soon notice that the pictures are enormous in
quantity...and that the design is very simple and you are going
directly to the image when you click on it.

So, I can say much more but am very curious to read some comments

I am sure I didn't give you my permission to use my images on your site.
Especially since you don't go to the page that the image came from like any
other SE. Good thing I got hot link protection enabled! I can see a lot of
complaints since you are stealing bandwidth with their images.

http://www.picsdata.com//simage.php?...26ie%3DU TF-8

Right now you are advised to remove my images from your site. As you can't
even give links to my site, but you can steal my images!

Hi there,
I am sorry if I used some info you are not happy about...but to be
honest I can't see nothing here:
http://www.picsdata.com//simage.php?...26ie%3DU TF-8

by the way, don't get this wrong but I cannot be responsible for that
your images are showing...why not
tell Google,Yahoo or Msn to remove your images from their sites? I am
sure your images appear on such sites as well...it is your
responsibility to remove them.
If any page is on the internet it is crawled by the search engine...
I wil give you a simple example:

If you drive on a road where arent available any signs to stop
you...you just continue to drive on this road.

OK there are a few issues here which are extremely important.

1) An image belongs to the originator under copyright law - therefore
by displaying it on your website without the owner's consent, you are
breaching copyright law and open to prosecution.

2) You say that you do not use a sites bandwidth to display the image.
The URL:
http://www.picsdata.com//simage.php?...g.myspace.com/
for example, suggests that the php program is in fact fetching the
image from the original site, to display it on screen. That uses that
person's bandwidth as well as your own. Or, are you saying you have
pre-fetched all the content and stored all the images on your own
server (highly unlikely).

3) Google and Yahoo etc image searches are useful to webmasters as they
help drive visitors to their website. Your site is just showing the
image. Most users will not know how to strip the original site URL
from your image strings - why not just add a click to the original
image, as Google does.

You are still breaching copyright, but some people may be willing to
forgive this if they see traffic coming their way from your site,
particularly if you ask them before stealing their images.

4) Remove the AdSense - Google have already removed your site from the
program by the look of it as they are showing public service adverts.
Their terms of usage prevents use of AdSense on search engines.

5) You are not blocking adult pictures - that will upset a lot of
people and alienate a lot of parents from your site, as well as
possibly land you in trouble with your hosting provider.

It was not that long ago that one of the bigger sites demanded that
Google block their images from the search results (sure someone can jog
my memory here). If you capture images from a site which has plenty of
finance to persue copyright claims, you could easily land up in hot
water.

i dont read all of your post..since I am tired from the very "wise"
thoughts in the forums...anyway I just saw that according to you I dont
block adult images...come on...I block them!
If you search in google for example you will notice that even there
with mature filter ON you will still see some
good "masked" adult picture.

So...anyway

Oh, you mean Yahoo Answers where it got removed because of spam?

I wasn't saying anything to be funny. But serious! And I commented for you
to remove my images.

Quote:

No you aren't with that site I have hot linking enabled on that site,
meaning you can not get my image for the final picture. But it did try and
pull from my site:
Host: 212.100.250.209 a..

Http Code: 403 Date: Jan 17 16:55:24 Http Version: HTTP/1.0

Hmm, wonder where that came from? From my logs! See it delivered the 403 as
it stops servers from pulling my image from my server!

But you are stealing BW from this site:
http://www.picsdata.com//simage.php?...D%26ie%3DUTF-8

The image doesn't come from your site but this site:
http://www.crookedhousegallery.co.uk...ing_03_300.jpg
..

And many others!

Quote:

site from the link above...
No you don't hide it, but you take people's pictures that don't belong to
you and don't give a link back. The URL is visible without a link. That is
no good for anyone, who cares if someone with brains can figure out how to
get to my site! If you had enough intellect you would see that you are
taking people's bandwidth, and stealing copyrighted images.

Again, I am not being funny I am serious. I plan on turning your site in to
your hosting as you are violating the TOS and I plan on telling the major
SE's so they will not index your site as your site is violating the DCMA.

Listed below are a few of my sites and parts from my logs to show you are
stealing BW! I don't have hot linking enabled on them as they don't have
much traffic yet but I will turn it on shortly. I am not in a very good mood
ATM and I am not playing games!

What you are doing is stealing and then you have to come and spam the group,
and say it isn't spam. Any body coming to the group unannounced and just
spurts out their site for nothing is considered spam to us!
