2 part question: a) what is the average wait time for a dmoz listing submission to get included? i have some sites that I submitted quite a while ago, but they are still not listed. b) should I resubmit the site(s), or would that be a bad thing? |

I DID NOT submit my other site, and it got there within roughly a year after registering the domain name. Go figure! geeesh. clear as mud - thanks, guys. I guess I will just start writing down the submission dates, and give 'em a year or so. I wonder if I could become a volunteer editor for the category I submit to most often... (my town, my state) |

These days they are only good for the backlinks thought - so yes, it can help make a difference in ranking as some categories are more mirrored than others. But note that many of the mirrors also accept submissions, some with quicker addition time frame than some DMOZ editors like to state being "reasonable", so you don't have to politely sit on your hands waiting out the DMOZ Limbo either.
