Did the web cease to be last night?

I only have a handful of emails - normally I'd have hundreds - and we
only had one message here this morning. Where's the traffic gone? Is
it just me?

It's Easter Week - the kids are off school and perhaps Mum and Dad are
at home looking after them.

For me spammers had a busy night.

No sign of abatement over here. Bear in mind that spam often comes from very
few bot armies "Generals", who can use hijacked Windows machines to deliver
billions of messages overnight. A recent study estimated this to account for
80% of all spam. The others are merely irrelevant because the amount they
can generate is limited by the bandwidth on their workstation.

I had more traffic yesterday than all of this month. Of course we are just
into day 4. Spring break doesn't start until next week for most of the US
and because my son's school is DODs then it will do the same. Always the
first week before Easter.:-) College is a little different though, I think a
week before and after. Anyway, I got the same amount of email and more
traffic.

I think it is slow here as nothing exciting and people are busy. I know I
am.:-)
