Default Desktop Search engine - 06-11-2004 , 10:52 AM

We do a lot of R&D and we have zillions of PDF & others docs on PC's in the
labs (not much on the server).

Is there a way we can do a search by keywords (like any internet search
engines) but only in those PCs ?

we all run winXP.

Tia

I use SleuthHound software - it is a very powerful search tool and can index
several dozen types of files, including PDFs. http://www.isleuthhound.com/

I also have used Adobe Acrobot (Tools/Catalog) to search PDF file
collections.

Good luck,
Ed
