Ah - ONE site - and thats his own ........... hardly counts does it.

It was discussed several months ago. He believes he looks more serious
thanks to that final s in protocol and trying to convince him that's
not necesarilly a case is a waste of time.

So, why are you still discussing about that?

Each to their own. But if it was really so good to have it that way,
then there would be more sites like it.

May be he will wake up one day and change it to http like everyone
else.

Or may-be that noone will use http any more....
Dream on.

Perhaps phishing is not a problem in your country.
Lucky you!
I have just had a quick look at your site. You have no worries about
anyone wanting to phish your site
Why would they ?

Here there are not so many but still perhaps more than down there.

What's the risc of phishing on those static web pages? SSL on the pages
where information is submitted by the visitor will do.

It is hopeless.

Best,
Borek

Fine.
So you don´t need go on discussing on the same subject, do you?
Why do you actually do that?
You know that we do not agree.
And this is probably not the first time which has happened.

Fine.
In this case you might have not read about the problems with Google´s old
cache I have already written about.
Please, explain to me why this cache has not been updated. I have not had
this domain www.italymap.dk
for a long time.
Please have a look here
http://www.google.se/search?q=semest...&start=40&sa=N
www.italymap.dk/sv/alghero.html
which still has the title
"Scaiecat Spa Gigi-Hyresförmedling av flera semesterbostäder som ..."
on Google
And this page has been redirected to another site.
I am neither the owner of the former nor the latter..

Someone who clicks on a link and goes to a site pretending to be yours
probably doesn't notice this (that's the whole point of phishing)

Hence, it doesn't matter if you use https, or put big graphics on your
site "This is the real thing".

Plenty of users have no clue what https is anyway, only that they have to
click the fricking Yes button when a certificate is expired.

There are already many, many people who e-mail me from no valid e-mail
adresses.
Besides you might have not read about the problem with Google´s old caches.
Finally, do you think that those who use phishing are for https? I would
rather guess that they are for http and against https...

How many phishing sites do you know which use https?
Just because nobody has *yet* done it, doesn't mean that they won't.

Then again - none of us have been to every site

doesn't matter if you use http or https - you won't stop phishing by
what you are doing - or wanting to do.

How are your users going to know if your site is a phished version or
not ?......... simple - they won't.

The only way to stop phishing is not to have a web site.
