Default Calculate with Google.... - 08-14-2003 , 02:10 PM

Hi Folks,

Did anyone know that google can also be used as a (simple)
calculator???
Just enter the calculation you'd like to make (e.g. 5+17) instead of a
search request and google returns the result.
I know, it's not really useful functionality, but it's nice to see!

Regards,
MC

Too bad it doesn't do algebra or calculus.

Note that there is no abbreviation "kph" for kilometre per hour.
The only correct symbol is "km/h". See

I don't seem to be the only one to make the mistake (?) ....

Are you sure that isn't just an American thing?? Over here in the UK it's
regularly used.

Sure. And http://www.npl.co.uk/npl/reference/si_conventions.html
points to http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/rules.html also.

What a pity! When you use metric units, you should use the
internationally accepted symbols, like "kg", not "Kgs".
I haven't searched through http://www.usma.demon.co.uk/ yet -
perhaps there's some info, too.

but fails: double 20
