312.55 GBP = 639.10 USD according to Google. The original price of the
camera was here (Mexico) something like that, but when I bought it the
price had recently been lowered *and* I got a discount :-) (I paid like
400 USD / 196 GBP). Currently the camera is around 300 USD in the US.

With google products (UK) I found it for 140 GBP [1], average price seems
to be around 190 GBP, so same as what I paid for it. 300+ GBP is a rip
off.

John, thanks for the info. With the price varying as much as it does I
was convinced that there was some detail that I was missing that was not
present on the lower priced cameras!

The products link you sent did not match any products - how many results
did you see there? I have not found anything to match the £140 but I see
lots for £190 ish which is fine.

I'll let you know how I get on with it :-)
