Best of the web have been making increasingly frantic offers lately. I
don't know how much a link from them would be worth.

probably not a lot.
It is just a site to buy links from.

NOW, if it was an independant site that recommended "the best of the
web" sites rather than someone buying space to be on there, then it
may hold some value.
