Default Batch Image Resizing - 09-05-2003 , 11:40 AM

Hi,

Got almost 400 images to resize and then compress (jpg compression not
zip).

Was going to use MIR.NET (it's program not a website) for the resizing
and then Advanced Jpg Analyzer for the compression.

Unfortunately the former compresses the jpgs automatically (no option
to turn that off) and it's compression is not very good, so when it
comes to using the second program it looks crap!!

If I can't find a program that just resizes it'll mean resizing the
images one after each other with Paint Shop Pro 7 before compressing.
This produces very good results, but it's time consuming and I'm
feeling lazy today :-))

Any suggestions on a program that batch resizes without JPG
compression?

Really irritating when you have to buy multiple programs to do a few
simple tasks :-((

BTW all the images to be resized are the same initial size, so can be
resized using either percentage of original or specific height/width.

Thanks

David

I can vouch for IrfanView's batch processing; I use it all the time and it
works very well.

Hi,

Got myself a copy of IrfanView 3.85 and it did the job well, thanks
for the recommendation, appreciated.

Can now get a big update to our lingerie site completed without having
to resize almost 400 images manually :-))
