(And the Thomson link you finally wind up at gives a 404.)

I get to thomson without a 404 using the link as an actual click.

Me too. I couldn't understand what Phil was on about either. I assumed
you had quickly changed it as I saw no cloaked link, no 404 no 302's etc.

Have you checked the history of the domain? Has it been in use before?
Expired perhaps? Interesting problem (for me, worrying for you, no doubt).

Jez.

I've removed the affil link from the main page and validated it so the
code is fine.
The affil link through the site he mentioned didn't seem to get where
it should but did in real life on two browsers that I checked this
morning.

I did wonder if it was an expired one but found nothing when I looked
- it is interesting to me too - def want to know why.
I put a sitemap on it and added that to google but to no avail.
Try removing the

Social Bookmark Script
* @ Version 1.4
* @ Copyright (C) 2006 by Alexander Hadj Hassine - All rights reserved

and see what happens.

There is a title, an <h1> and then reams of social bookmark script to
wade through before hitting any actual content. I would get rid of it
and see if google likes it then. You can always add it back if no
progress is made - it's not exactly going to be beneficial with no
visitors anyway.

best,

Jez.

I'll try this too -
I get visitors from various other SE - ask, msn, live etc etc
Just not google.

I already checked that - but it seems that Live is not all that keen either.

http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q...ch&form=CHROME

With only 2 pages cached it's got to be setting the world alight there
either.

I'd be interested to know if it works when you remove it. Please update
us / me.

Jez.

What browser are you using? In both firefox and IE I can see the *code
link - it's not hidden - there is code in there to supposedly stop the
urls showing but it doesn't work - so I can remove that anyway
*but* the thomson link is a fairly new addition so not there back in
may when googlebot visited.
You've changed it now - the anchor text on the page has changed, and
the link is to http://www.holidayunder100.co.uk/travel-companies-t.htm

Who do you think you're fooling? This is a singularly juvenile
exercise.
