the significance of doing allinanchor or allinurl searches?

I've been stressing on my site about the difficulty of getting ranked
anywhere for the word "icons". After reading these things (and this NG), I
think I'm going to let that one go, and start concentrating on phrases like
"icon sets", "gif icons", "bmp icons", etc.
