Default Alexa traffic *by country* of a specific site - 12-03-2006 , 12:42 PM

Where can I get Alexa Traffic statistics *by country* of a specific
site? (note: NOT the traffic rankings of sites by country)

I mean like this: http://www.tools4internet.com/RatingRequest.aspx,
i.e. statistics like:

www.techguy.com visitors come from:
Country Local users vs. total users
UNITED STATES 42.9%
UNITED KINGDOM 12.2%
CANADA 6.7%
INDIA 4.1%
AUSTRALIA 2.3%
ITALY 2.0%
GERMANY 1.9%
etc. (total: 100.0%)

Are there concurrent sites to the above (tools4internet.com) possibly
without that annoying CAPTCHA/image human verification?

Er, Alexa?

Failing that, try asking the site's administrator, they may wish to
hand over confidential data from their log files (if you are a
potential advertiser for example).

Alexa doesn't, as far as I know, supply such stats anywhere. Certainly
not publicly, anyway, although they may have them internally.
I confirm. I searched into Alexa site and I didn't find them published
there.
I only found them in www.tools4internet.com, that say it takes data
from Alexa. (?!)

Mark, I thought the same but the problem is that Alexa seems not to
publish the "users by country".
If you look at the Alexa rank by country you find the (global) users
and the local rank. I don't find the number of local users.
Where do him extrapolate them from?

I found an old news article that talk about them but I still don't
understand where Alexa publish these data:
http://awis.blogspot.com/2004/11/ale...y-country.html.

Where you can see on the Alexa site the users by Germany of
www.google.com for example?

I suspect that tools4internet.com gets those data via this Alexa's
webservice: http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html?node=12782661.
Its $0.15 per 1,000 requests, so fairly cheap, but not cheap enough to
let anyone bang request after request (all day) long. That's why that
site uses a CAPTCHA =)
