Default 302 Pagejacking - 06-02-2006 , 10:12 AM

I was under the impression Google had fixed it's 302 problems, but a
client has managed to 302 pagejack their own sites home page by adding
a 302 redirect from an unused domain!

The unused 302 redirected domain is now top 10 for the home page
SERPs, the cache shows the content of the main sites home page, but
with internal links to the unused site (used relative internal links).
It also shows the same backlinks, though has only got the one page
indexed (the home page).

This unused domain was registered 2 years ago, don't know if it's been
used previously, though Yahoo shows 0 backlinks so very good chance
it's never been used.

So what's the current consensus of the 302 pagejacking problem?

I'm not sure if this is the same thing I've been wondering about or
not. It's not really an answer, but a question about my situation. Hope
I'm not threadjacking here..

This site also has an older domain that is currently listed in the
engines. The new domain (that's actually 2 years old) isn't coming up.
The old one still does and redirects. Should we restructure how all of
these point to the one main domain or something? I know G doesn't like
duplicate content "cloaking" or whatever it's called.

Thanks,
J

Are you sure you have your redirects done right? What does a header
check give you?
