Default 2 domain names for 1 website? - 01-30-2006 , 07:55 AM

Hello,

I have a website with a domain name. Can I buy now another domain name and
point it to the same website? (which will have 2 domain names as a result)

What is the best way to do that so that my 2 domain names be "seen" by
search engines?

Thank you for your help

You want to be penalized by Google for having duplicate content?

What about sites that bought mysite.com + mysite.net + mysite.info for
instance? Are they penalized? Or is it an acceptable practice?

Cheers

I have that.
I have .nl versions of my .com sites. I use 301 redirects on the .nl
versions, so that there really is only one version, .com.

Do a 301 redirect from one to the other.

Not using the word 'content', no, but "pointing at the same website"
and "which will have 2 domain names as a result" must give a clue?
Unless I'm missing a way to have one website with two sets of content?

No, ten domain names is fine so long as only one of them has content
and nine are forwarded.

I know, but that didn't seem to be (to me) what the OP was after.

Well it seems to me that that's what the OP seemed to be after.
