Default Write issues using IIS - 10-22-2007 , 07:18 AM

hi

Every opensource scripts that I try to install, zencart, opencart and a photo
gallery using php and IIS with msql says that I don't have write permmissions
on the config file and when I go to check the file I do have write permissions.

Also the username and password fields says they don't match when as far as I
can see they do.

Any help on this please as other forums kinda suck. Is there anything that i'm
not checking here?

Which account are you checking has the correct permissions? It needs to
be the Internet User, normally iusr_computername which computername is
the name of your computer.

yes, i'm testing both locally and through my webhost. I've assigned permissions
in localhost with read / write but it's just iss with no active directory, so
for the file iv'e assigned the permissions and with directory security is my
IUSR account allowing anonymous login.

On my webhost iv'e clicked on the file and IUSR for that account and assigned
the permmisions

so i'm not sure why it's doing this? Is there still something i'm not doing?

If its not working on your webhost too then something is up, I would
probably ask your host to confirm the settings you have made for you,
once they have confirmed you have done it right it may be worth going
back to the creators of the scripts.

Sorry I can't be much more help.
