Yeah - it forces IE to calculate the dimensions of that element, even though
it shoulda done it.

Delete that 1px font-size for a moment and give .containerclear a red
background-color and you will immediately see what the IE problem was.
Borders or background colors on problem elements are great troubleshooting
tools.
