Default Word file to open within website - 07-17-2003 , 11:30 AM

Is it possible to have a browser open a word document (without converting the word document to html) using the macromedia suite? I want to be able to place a link for a word document and have that document open right in the browser for viewing. I have seen this done elsewhere, but can't find any info on how to do it. Do I need special software? Can it be done with just Macromedia's suite? Thanks!!

I believe on IE will do this, and it is built into IE.

But only if the viewer has Word installed on their system.
