Default wmv and firefox - 03-26-2009 , 10:41 PM

hi

i need to put wmv on a web page.
i have a code that uses both "object" and "embed".

both say: AutoStart value="false"

in ie it works fine.

in ff it starts automaticaly.

how do i stop it from auto starting?

in "object" it says:
<param name="AutoStart" value="false">

in "embed" it says: autostart="false"

thanks

Heya Lenny,

Check out the JW WMV player built with Silverlight by longtailvideo

http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-wmv-player/

Hope that helps!

In the <embed> tag, use autostart="0"

ahahahah - problem

a surfer who wants to see the movies must have silverlight installed.
i had it installed already so i was not aware of it.

but non of the people i sent the link to - understood he had to install the
add-on - or agreed to install - which make this solution useless.
sorry.

i don't understand.

in fire fox,
if i add the scripts that DW creates, the movie auto starts, ignoring my
settings.
without loading the scripts, the graphics of mediaplayer appear for a second
and then dissapear. page remains blank
see:

http://www.sabale.co.il/katavot/1-no-scripts.asp
http://www.sabale.co.il/katavot/1-with-scripts.asp

in chrome
with the scripts - page remains blank (no movie - no mediaplayer graphics)
without the scripts it's ok !

see the files in chrome and ff:
http://www.sabale.co.il/katavot/1-no-scripts.asp
http://www.sabale.co.il/katavot/1-with-scripts.asp

Please, help needed.

thanks

lenny
