Windows MX and Dreamweaver MX sound files

Using Dreamweaver MX or MX 2004 with windows MX and IE6 the plugin for avi and
midi file extensions will not play neither will java applet for slideshow.
Everything is fine in win 2000. Active content etc is enabled. Can anyone help?

You bet, neither file format is very good for the web. Flash is your
best bet.
