windows to mac migration

I've just finished creating a site on Windows and getting ready to pass it on
to another developer using a mac. When I've done this in the past, links to
templates and library items got lost or corrupted. The mac developer had to
reconnect all the pages to the templates/library items by hand. It's also
possible that the other developer had a different version of Dreamweaver.

Is there any way to move sites between versions/platforms more automatically?
I'm working with DreamweaverMX 2004 7.01.
