Follow Nadia's advice (always listen to Nadia). I'm gonna guess you
transferred them by copying them to a CD. When Windows writes files to a CD,
they become "Read-Only". In Windows you can make them writeable again by
right clicking them and choosing "Properties". Then uncheck the "Read Only"
checkbox. On Mac, select file, Get Info, and remove the locked attribute.
One way around this in the future is to zip the site up, copy it to a CD,
then unzip it on the second machine.

I created a web site in Windows Dreamweaver MX. I copied them to a Mac
Dreamweaver MX2004. On the mac, files are locked and will only allow
viewing. Can edit text, etc, but does then not allow saving or even
'save as' due to locked files.
What do I do? Thanks for your help. |
