Windows files to Mac

I created a web site in Windows Dreamweaver MX. I copied them to a Mac
Dreamweaver MX2004. On the mac, files are locked and will only allow viewing.
Can edit text, etc, but does then not allow saving or even 'save as' due to
locked files.

What do I do? Thanks for your help.

Follow Nadia's advice (always listen to Nadia). I'm gonna guess you
transferred them by copying them to a CD. When Windows writes files to a CD,
they become "Read-Only". In Windows you can make them writeable again by
right clicking them and choosing "Properties". Then uncheck the "Read Only"
checkbox. On Mac, select file, Get Info, and remove the locked attribute.
One way around this in the future is to zip the site up, copy it to a CD,
then unzip it on the second machine.

I've been around, but not as active lately. I've been really busy with work
(a good thing!) plus I've had some family stuff going on. How's life down

Same, hectic, I need a holiday to some exotic island away from pc and
clients :-)

Head to Bali. I'll give you some friends to look up in and around Ubud who
will look out for you.

Not sure I'm ready to go there yet, but Hawaii sounds nice :-)
