Search engine penalties? User confusion? The initial page load is pretty
useless - no content and nothing very engaging.

Other than that, I don't see too much to comment on. But tell me why you
are loading individual js behavior files instead of combining them into a
single file?

to be honest, i'm not really sure ? that part of it was set up by a freelancer
who was working on the site a while back. is it a problem?

Not so much a problem as a curiosity. I can't imagine why one would want to
do it.
