white box

HI, ive made an image (using psp8) to use as my front page title, although i made it on the 'checkered' background in psp8, when i put it on my web page the image is in a white box, can someone please help a noob. thankyou very much.

Don't know psp8 but if you send me your .gif, I'll make it transparent for

Check to see if you have a border around your image. click on the image and go to the properties tab at the bottom of DW and look at the border field if there is anything in there delete and leave blank.

I tried that mate, the background box is empty( in the properties)...:-(
