Default Where's the Apache configuration file? - 06-14-2004 , 11:25 AM

I have a G5 Dual 1.8Ghz Mac with OSX 10.3.3. I have Studio MX 2004

Just been on your page:

http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/mx/dreamweaver/articles/php_macintosh.html

In point 2, Minh Huynh says:
Open the Apache configuration file ...

Where is it?

I've tried Finder. I've found various files with the name Apache but nothing
that says: Apache configuration

Also, I assume he means to open it through 'Terminal'. But Terminal doesn't
recognise any of the files in either of the Apache folders

Help!

Cheers

Nick

Hi Nick,

It's noted about the middle of this article:

Best regards,
Chris

It's called httpd.conf.

To open httpd.conf using the Terminal use
pico /private/etc/httpd/httpd.conf or vi /private/etc/httpd/httpd.conf.
Personally, I prefere to use TextEdit (do a search for httpd.conf; open
TextEdit; drag the file name from the search results to the TextEdit icon in
the dock) and 4X Config Editor which part of the SQL4X Manager J from
http://www.macosguru.de/.

Search for "invisible" files named "httpd.conf"
