Website won't Sync in Dreamweaver MX 2004

Hi,

I am trying to use the synchronize function in DM and it won't work.
When I first set up the site, I received a message saying that DM could
not determine the time and that this would cause problems with
synchronizeing (which it does). The other odd part is that when I
manually put a file on the site, DM shows the wrong time.

The server is running Red Hat Enterprise edition, and the time zone is
set to EST , which is correct.

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Never mind. I checked the knowledge base at Macromedia and came up
with the answer. In case your wondering what the answer is see
TechNote tn_14413.

Basically I need to get access to the default directory that I am
placeing files in. I only have access to sub directorys off of that.
