Default Website Issue - 10-30-2005 , 06:43 PM

I have tried to fix this to no avail. As far as i have seen it only occours
when the site is first opened, and only using IE.
The logo in the left frame is sized about 20x20Px?? If i right click on the
image and go to properties it returns to the size it should be. (236x450Px)

Hopefully you can help.

Tried both IE and Firefox, they both fine I did not notice a difference
even after doing a refresh a few times. You might also think about
losing the frameset as search engines don't normally do well with
framesets.

Yeah, I see the problem but not sure what is causing it. I would ditch the frames - there's no need to use frames on your site.

I would also suggest not using Flash for navigation. It really adds nothing and
only causes accessibility problems. Users without Flash cannot use your site.
And since your logo is directly under it, it could be the cause of your logo
problem.

I understand about the frames from what I have read on this forum over the last
year, however i am not comfortable enough with css yet to make the chage. I am
experimenting with it though. Still a novice compared to most of you. As soon
as i am, I will.

Do you have any other suggestions for what to use instead of Flash? I was
under the inpression that most users had it as i have never recieved a
complaint.

Avoiding frames does not force you to use CSS for layout. Your site would be
very simple to recreate with table layouts.

You've never recieved a complaint about Flash because
a) most people who can't navigate your site would just move on
b) they would have no way to contact you even if they wanted to. Your contact
page would not be accessible to them.

Your navigation system is simple so you could use virtually anything else. The
most common method would be to create the buttons in a graphic application, but
you could also use a plain text links. I would then use SSI to place the
navigation menu on each page in your site.

I though everyone frowned against tables just like frames...Did i read wrong?

Now that you mention it that way, it makes sense...

SSI = Server-side include. Search for this in DW's F1 help.
